10 Years of My Crafternoons - Workshop List!

From August 2014 to August 2024 we’ve ran around 80 workshops around Western Victoria in 37 different venues, collaborating with 19 skilled artists and making some awesome things, awesome friends, and awesome memories.

It's been an absolute blast, and not one workshop has gone by where we haven't learnt something new, had fun and met some wonderful people. THANK YOU for coming along, for telling your friends, for sharing your skills and for your continued support!

We’ve even hosted a free bunting workshop as part of a community festival, a kids’ Crafternoon, a family workshop for a cancer charity and a couple of casual crafty catch-ups in spaces like the Hamilton Botanic Gardens :) That's not to mention private parties for lucky brides-to-be and birthday babes alongside corporate team-building activities, Christmas parties and 'thank-you' workshops for community volunteers. Just need to tick off a baby shower, a bucks and a divorce party, and it feels like there's a Crafternoon for every occasion!

Most of the above workshops I've hosted myself (hi, I'm Stacey if we haven't yet met) though occasionally we tap into the skills of talented local (and not-so-local) artists and collaborators.

THANK YOU to the following absolute legends for working with me on workshops gone by: - Jasmine Mansbridge - Internationally-exhibiting artist and all-round legend

- Alyshia McInnes - Artist, illustrator and one of my most favourite humans - Lucy Stocks - Russian felting fanatic from Portland - Hayley Dawson - The Rural Naturopath, passionate about gut health! - Rachel Zuch - Divine artist & textile designer besotted with florals - Susan Wright - Born in Paper, Byron Bay's DIY paper-making guru - Tine Brok - EucyRedd Raw EcoDyes, incredible knowledgeable about turning plants into dyes - Bec Hansen - Meraki Nest, collector of cuttlefish and maker of beautiful homewares

- Cindy Riddle - multi-talented succulent and crochet queen! - Amber Williams - Mumbler Mixologist, can shake, strain & garnish like a boss

- Bruach Colliton - Roxburgh House, who taught us everything we know about pizza - Sarah Klobe - who can turn fleece into fibre, spin and weaving like no-one I've ever met - Helen Henry - Soulful, skillful human and our basket-weaving wonder - Michelle Badenhorst - Grower and weaver of vines, maker of wines and delicious things! - Jo Levy - For The Love of Flora, kind, passionate and incredible with flowers! - Julie Love - Ceramicist, who periodically welcomes me into the HIRL Pottery Studios

- Penny Bell - Bake & Bloom, capable of creating sugary magic with baked goods - Saskia Bastock - Macramé extraordinaire with the patience of a saint! - Lisa Freestone - as much of a whizz on a sewing machine as she is on a Cricut!

- Madi Whyte - Artist, photographer, sculptor and grower of the loveliest sunflowers.

SO,

💙 Which workshops have been your favourite?

❤️ What do you want to try at future Crafternoons?

💛 If we ran any again - which sound good enough to repeat?

There are so many crafts on the radar we could do in future, from lino-cutting and stamp carving to Shrinky Dink earrings, cushions, DIY clothing... I've already purchased more materials than I may ever actually use!

Email us, send us a Facebook message or comment on our Facebook posts to let us know your ideas and to give us some feedback- feel free to leave a review if you've been to a Crafternoon too!

Thanks again,

Stacey :)
