What can I expect?
Be warmly welcomed, order a drink and mingle with our crafty cohort as you browse the supplies and inspiration.
Supported through demonstrations and 1:1 guidance, design and make two pairs of bespoke earrings– perhaps one to keep and one to gift!
Meet new people (solo attendees welcomed) or use it as a chance to catch up with someone you love.
Soak up the fun, chill vibe, get creative with a bunch of legends and leave with new skills, proudly showing off your new fave accessories!
What will I learn?
You’ll learn how to design your own earrings, select and cut materials into various shapes, how to add texture, colour and details, and how to assemble it all together using simple jewellery-making techniques.
Experiment with a range of beads, embellishments, jewellery findings, metallic leaf, tassels, paint and ink to add personal touches.
We’ll use new and upcycled leather (faux and real), vinyl and similar materials, including factory offcuts and pieces salvaged from old clothing and accessories, because we love to reduce, reuse, and recycle.
Make any style you like - sleek and monochrome, natural and boho, or wacky and colourful... guidance is on hand to bring your vision to life!
Who should come?
Anyone who needs a cosy, crafty afternoon with gal pals or just a moment of me-time to give you the warm and fuzzies.
This one is beginner-friendly and suitable for people who “aren’t creative”.
There's plenty of space for prams and privacy for breast-feeding mums.
Small hands welcome if they can safely snip and punch with a little help from you.
This venue is accessible and we welcome all crafty abilities, though jewellery-making is fiddly!
My Crafternoons are LGBTQIA+ friendly, always.
Where is the Crafternoon?
We’ll be taking over the Noodledoof taproom, a refurbished motor garage with hipster vibes in the heart of Koroit.
This up-and-coming town is on the cusp of Tower Hill Nature Reserve, an inactive volcano well worth a visit. It’s just 15 minutes from both Warrnambool and Port Fairy along the Great Ocean Road, Victoria.
