Double Crochet Dinners with Cindy!

Since I’m currently in the UK visiting family and have been sneaking in a few Eurotrips (as those of you who follow @mycrafternoons on Instagram may have seen), our fabulous crochet tutor Cindy has been manning the fort!

Cindy has hosted two crochet bowl Crafternoons at the Grange Restaurant in Hamilton, where the lovely staff always give us a few extra tables for nibbles since we usually take over every inch of table space with craft supplies!

The first workshop was booked out in a flash so we dedicated July’s crafternoon to crochet bowls too, so more crafty cats could attend and get the hang of it in a nice relaxed night out.

Both evenings were apparently fabulous- lots of chatter and socialising with a mix of group and one-on-one tuition, plus some help from those who had already mastered this age-old craft, over hot and cold nibbles and a few drinks. If people hadn’t quite finished their bowl they took a skein of wool home to finish it off, and a few extra skills like changing colours and scalloped edges featured in July’s workshop- I think it’s safe to say all who attended are “hooked”!

These were beginner sessions but if you’re interested in a more advanced crochet workshop just get in touch and let us know! Cindy is a wonderful tutor and is very well liked by our crafty community so I’m sure she’d be happy to oblige!

Next month’s workshop we will be making gorgeous leather earrings near the end of August- watch this space for more details as they’re locked in, or join the mailing list to be among the first in the know!

Ciao for now from sunny Europe!
