August: Modern Dreamcatcher Workshop!

Hope you're all having a fabulous creative August!

For this month's Crafternoon we're going to be putting a modern twist on an old classic- dreamcatchers!

Way back when we started running our monthly craft workshops we learnt how to weave traditional dreamcatchers (blog and pics HERE) but it's time to give a contemporary edge to these wonderful wall hangings.

We will combine golden hoops with foliage, feathers and rustic materials for a Scandinavian minimalism that we just love. Perfect for a gift, but even better to keep for yourself!

There will be an abundance of found feathers, wool and yarn, ribbons and lace, string and threads, leaves and foliage, beads and pom poms for you to combine into your own unique creation. You'll learn how to combine elements and attach to your hanging hoop, how to make pom-poms, or how to weave a traditional dreamcatcher if that's more your style.

Our crafting will take place by an open fire, upstairs in The Roxburgh- Hamilton's coolest wood-fired pizza and wine emporium. The awesome staff will keep us supplied with a range of wood-fired pizzas, and their bar will be open for you to sample local wines, craft beers, Lindt hot chocolates or anything you fancy.
