Floral Wreath Crafternoon!

*NOTE - Unfortunately this lovely evening has been postponed until COVID-19 allows us to have the intimate crafty experiences we know and love. There's a Botanical Illustration Course you can access for FREE via Brit & Co using the code "SELFCARE"- see here! Learn the skills and let's do the workshop at home anyway, show us on socials @mycrafternoons what you're quarantine-crafting!*

You know what would be fun? A cosy Thursday night doodling, chatting, painting and sipping over some delicious pizza and cheese platters with old and new friends.

It sounds so good, I reckon let's do it! Get Thursday 26th March in your diary for our first Crafternoon in Hamilton's newest bar: Obsidian Room!

Sketch & Sip ✏️& 🍷

Paint & Pizza… 🎨 & 🍕

Draw & Dine!? ✒️ & 🍇

... OK I'll stop. You get the gist- there will be food and creativity with a well-stocked bar for all your beverage needs.

For our craft this month, you'll learn some simple painting and drawing techniques to make a pretty wreath artwork made up of illustrative botanical shapes. Whether you fancy picking up a pencil, pen or paintbrush, you'll be guided through creating a piece of original art using simple flowers, leaves and floral shapes.

Even those who "can't draw" or "can't paint" will manage to pick up some new skills- it's so simple, even little people are welcome with a guardian!

🌺 🌱 🌼 🍂 🌸 Whether your creation makes it into a frame or just to the fridge, we’re sure you’ll leave feeling good about having flexed your creativity amongst other lovely folk. Plus, you’ll be full of delicious pizza and cheese, and may even treat yourself to a local wine, a barista-made coffee or a refreshing cocktail or mocktail - the bar will be open for whatever your heart desires!

🌿 Tickets are $40 including pizzas and platters to share, and all tools, materials and guidance for our art-making session.

Here's an example I whipped up after attending an illustrative painting class in Melbourne last year ran by the lovely @twinewoodstudio - I've been inspired ever since!
